Victor Gómez

Victor Gómez is a reinsurance underwriter with more than 11 years of experience in the Latin American market, specializing in facultative property business. Throughout his career, he has underwritten a broad range of complex and catastrophe-exposed risks, developing strong technical expertise in underwriting, exposure management, and portfolio performance.

Prior to joining IRM, Victor served as VP, Senior Facultative Property Underwriter at Dynamic Reinsurance and previously spent nearly a decade at Odyssey Re, where he was involved in underwriting and managing property portfolios across multiple territories throughout the region. He has also worked within Agro reinsurance on both facultative and treaty business.

Based in Mexico City, Victor is actively involved across all stages of the underwriting process, including risk assessment, deal structuring, pricing analysis, and the negotiation of reinsurance terms and conditions with brokers and cedants. His disciplined technical approach and regional market expertise support IRM’s continued expansion of its Property Facultative platform across Latin America and the Caribbean.
